After winning a Merit Award in the KOKUYO DESIGN AWARD 2018. “Notebook for Black and White Writing” was developed into a product, and released in 2020. Now, it’s been selected for the JIDA Design Museum Selection Vol. 22 organized by the Japan Industrial Designers’ Association. This feature garnered it recognition as an innovative product that broadens the horizons of expression and will bring out people’s creativity.
– Judges’ Comments –
“When we write something in a notebook, we usually write on white paper. However, this stationery has broken free from that conventional idea. Because it uses gray paper, you can write with white pencils as well as the traditional black pens and pencils, so now, you can draw sketches with highlights. This broadens the horizons of expression, letting you give your drawings more solidity and contrast. As such, it’s an innovative product that will draw out your creativity.”
