A New Lifestyle Landmark to Debut in Sydney, Australia
KOKUYO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka / President: Hidekuni Kuroda) will open the first permanent store of its global lifestyle brand HOW WE LIVE, launched last year, in Taylor Square, Sydney, Australia, within 2025.

Since formulating its long-term vision CCC 2030 in February 2021, KOKUYO has redefined its role in society as a Work & Lifestyle Company, driving the expansion of its business domains beyond stationery and furniture. In the fourth medium-term management plan, Unite for Growth 2027, which begins in 2025, KOKUYO aims to expand its furniture business by leveraging its strengths and enhancing synergy with existing business. As part of this strategy, KOKUYO, together with its group company ACTUS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku / President: Ken Murata), is entering into the Australian market, which has growth potential as it continues to experience economic growth and population increase.
HOW WE LIVE is a lifestyle brand offering alternative ways of living that spans multiple categories, including furniture, stationery, homeware, and art.
The permanent store will be located in Taylor Square, a prominent meeting place that is emerging as a new cultural heart.
Situated on Sydney's iconic Oxford Street, Taylor Square connects the creative energy and lifestyles of Surry Hills with the tranquil, refined neighbourhood of Paddington. In this way, HOW WE LIVE serves as an intersection where people with diverse sensibilities converge, creating a unique cultural mix and making it a one-of-a-kind location.
The permanent store will be developed under the experiential concept "Cool Friend's Home," showcasing a curated mix of products primarily from KOKUYO and ACTUS, encompassing furniture, stationery, homeware, culture, and art in a style-oriented presentation. Additionally, a café will be located at the ground floor entrance, aiming to become a familiar gathering spot for local residents. The store also plans to host a variety of participatory events and workshops, envisioning the creation of a space where various activities extend beyond the conventional retail experience and develop a creative community.
