Creating an "experience lab" using traditional architecture for experiencing future ways of working and living

KOKUYO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka / President: Hidekuni Kuroda) has consolidated and relocated its previously separate showroom locations in Singapore, and will open a new showroom and office on November 28, 2025.

Since formulating its long-term vision CCC 2030 in February 2021, KOKUYO has redefined its role in society as a Work & Lifestyle Company, driving the expansion of its business domains beyond stationery and furniture. In the fourth medium-term management plan, Unite for Growth 2027, which begins in 2025, KOKUYO aims to expand its furniture business by leveraging its strengths and enhancing synergy with existing business. As part of this strategy, KOKUYO aims to expand its market share and propose solutions for making work more meaningful in the high-growth ASEAN region by leveraging its ability to propose spatial solutions cultivated in Japan.

Now, KOKUYO has consolidated and relocated the previously separate showroom and office locations of KOKUYO and Lamex--which joined the KOKUYO Group in 2022--in Singapore, a key business hub within the ASEAN region. This move will enable the companies to propose ways of working that leverage their functionality, quality, extensive product lineup, and proposal abilities, leading the way for work styles from Singapore across the entire ASEAN region.

The new building is located in Ann Siang Hill, an area characterized by shophouses built in the early 20th century that blends cultural heritage with modern vibrancy. It also serves as a business hub conducive to networking and collaboration.

The new showroom and office is designed around the concept of an "experience lab," serving as a place not only to view products but also to experience future ways of working and living. It also features a lounge area where layout planning and 3D simulations can be conducted on the spot, creating an environment for speedy proposals of the optimal solutions for customers. It can also host customer workshops, becoming a place to build relationships from the early stages of a project.

2. Details of Each Area

Stationery Shop

This area, open to the general public, serves as a place to experience the LIFE aspect of KOKUYO, which aims to be a work and lifestyle company.
It also acts as a gateway to make the brand more familiar to local Singaporeans and international tourists.

Presentation Area

Upon entering the showroom, a lounge welcomes visitors as a place of hospitality. Here, visitors can experience the design and comfort of relaxing sofas and armchairs. The area is also equipped to host workshops.

Office Café

Alongside the hospitality of a beverage service, visitors can experience a selection of café chairs. This area is designed for casual visits and is open for use by designers and other members of the community.

Live Office

Here, visitors can observe KOKUYO employees working with the company's own furniture to demonstrate the new work styles KOKUYO advocates.
