KOKUYO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka/President: Hidekuni Kuroda) announces that it has signed the United Nations Global Compact (UN Global Compact; hereinafter "UNGC"), an initiative proposed by the United Nations, and that the KOKUYO Group was registered as a participating company as of January 6, 2026.

The UNGC is the world's largest sustainability initiative, bringing together the United Nations and private-sector companies and organizations to build a sound global society. It is a voluntary initiative through which companies and organizations demonstrate responsible and creative leadership, act as good corporate citizens, and achieve sustainable growth.
Guided by its purpose, "Presenting a tomorrow you can't wait for," the KOKUYO Group aims to address social issues and help realize a sustainable society through its business activities. As global challenges such as climate change and human rights issues become increasingly severe, companies are being strongly called upon to act responsibly based on international frameworks. By expressing its support for the UNGC's four focus areas and ten principles covering human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption, the KOKUYO Group will further strengthen its governance as a company promoting global business expansion and accelerate its efforts toward sustainable management.
