KOKUYO CO.,LTD. (Head Office: Osaka, Japan; President: Hidekuni Kuroda) announces that it has decided to name its Osaka Head Office, which will be relocated as of May 1, 2026 (hereinafter, the "new headquarters"), "KOKUYO HQ," and that it will begin operations as a live office from June 2026.

Since formulating its long-term vision in 2021, KOKUYO has redefined its role in society as a "WORK & LIFE STYLE Company" and has been expanding its business fields beyond stationery and furniture. In its fourth medium-term management plan announced in 2024, the company aims to strengthen its provision of experience value and enhance both business and corporate value.

In October 2025, marking the 120th anniversary of its founding, KOKUYO established its first corporate message, "Curiosity Is Life." Viewing curiosity not as a driver of competition with others but as a source of respect, the company positions it as the engine for realizing the "self-directed, collaborative society" set forth in its long-term vision CCC2030.

Based on this philosophy, KOKUYO will relocate its head office from its current location in Higashinari-ku, Osaka, to the 14th floor of Grand Green Osaka in Kita-ku, Osaka, effective May 1, 2026, in order to realize a new kind of office that fosters self-directed, collaborative connections between people and organizations. By consolidating the general administrative and business divisions--previously split between the Higashinari head office and the Umeda office--onto a single floor, the company aims to strengthen its corporate functions. In addition, by situating itself in Umeda, where many companies are concentrated, KOKUYO seeks to create new opportunities for interaction with other organizations and to generate value that further stimulates curiosity in society.

The name of the new headquarters, "KOKUYO HQ," reflects the company's commitment to positioning Osaka, its place of founding, as the central hub of its global business activities.

1. About the Osaka Head Office KOKUYO HQ

The spatial design concept of KOKUYO HQ is "Promenade of Discovery." Developed collaboratively through ongoing dialogue between KOKUYO and the U.S.-based architectural firm Studio O+A, this concept aims to create an office where employees and visitors make new discoveries by walking, seeing, touching, and thinking. Organized around a long central corridor, the space consists of a series of different experiences, including lively areas, quiet spaces for contemplation, and zones that evoke a feeling of nature.

In addition, the new headquarters will serve as a "live office" that carries KOKUYO's philosophy and culture into the future. While functioning as a workplace, it also fosters learning and experimentation, incorporating a variety of work styles that reflect KOKUYO's needs and aspirations. By actively integrating natural light, greenery, and textured materials, the space creates an environment that enhances both creativity and well-being.
