3 KOKUYO Furniture products are given the Good Design Award 2012
Circular “HARMONii workstation” among the award-winning designs

OSAKA,Japan, October 1, 2012－KOKUYO Furniture Co. Ltd – a KOKUYO Group company (headquarters in Osaka, President: Hidekuni Kuroda) announced that the following three of its products have been given the Good Design Award 2012, organised by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion.
The products which won the Good Design Award 2012 are:
- An intravenous drip stand, for use in medical facilities
- The HARMONii circular workstation
- The ‘MonoColla’ collaboration system

The award-winning products
1．The intravenous drip stand, for use in medical facilities
Employing a leg design that means it’s easy to walk with the stand whether it’s kept in front of or behind the patient, consideration has been given to patient safety when walking around with it. This is an intravenous drip with a design that makes it easy to walk with and use, and it also features improved storage efficiency.

2．The HARMONii Circular workstation
The design concept for this circular workstation came from designer Gwenael Nicolas. It makes it possible for individuals to concentrate on their work while at the same time allowing for two-way communication within a team or an organization.

3．The MonoColla collaboration system
This is a furniture system that uses tables with casters etc to allow for the easy setting up of the kind of collaborative environment that’s required for various processes such as planning, design, prototype review, in places where R&D activities take place (research institutes and laboratories etc). Regardless of whether it’s used in a lab or a conventional office, this product makes it possible to create the optimum environment for collaboration.
