The annual Limited Edition is a serious engagement with the act of "writing".
This is a statement of intent from KOKUYO.
金属軸：特殊アルマイトによるマーブルの表情
"Marble" pattern. The way the colors gently overlap and blend together reminds me of something that is connected to the act of writing. By writing, thoughts and feelings overlap, blend, and deepen. This is sure to be an irreplaceable time. The base barrel is moss green. The motif is of moss growing slowly over the years, and it embodies the wish that writing will be an eternal joy.
木軸：豊かな表情を持つイチイガシ
Yew, which grows larger than most oaks, is a symbol of fertile soil, and its poised appearance has made it a venerable tree that has attracted worship since ancient times. The name "yew" is said to be a corruption of "ichikashi," which means sacred tree. Writing is a casual act, yet a sacred one. Every line you write, every word you weave, contains great power. We have chosen the sacred yew tree to pay homage to the ancient practice of writing.

By using a special anodizing process, a marble pattern that is different for each pen barrel emerges.
The body is carefully carved out over time, with uneven cutting marks that give it a sense of inconsistency recreated through programming.
A serial number will be engraved on the inside of the barrel, making it a one-of-a-kind piece.
The unique "tiger stripe" appearance enhances the wood's charm.
The cutting design evokes the uneven beauty of nature and the warmth of handcrafted work.
