KOKUYO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka / President: Hidekuni Kuroda) announces that it will open its first Pop-up Shop in Thailand for customers to encounter KOKUYO stationery from Japan and original stationary for China, which has been especially popular with Chinese students, at Mega Bangna, a shopping mall in the Thai capital of Bangkok from October 19, 2023 through October 25, 2023.

As the value-added stationery market expands due to heightening needs for self-expression via social media, KOKUYO's stationery business aims to capture the market by enhancing our points of contact with customers and expand our business domains not only in Japan but also globally.

In 2022, we opened Campus STYLE, a directly managed store in Shanghai, China. KOKUYO HAKU SHANGHAI 2023, which we held for the first time in two years, was attended by 9,200 customers (the most ever), indicating our popularity has been increasing. Furthermore, we opened our first Pop-up Shop in Malaysia in March and June 2023, which received a large number of customer visits, further evidencing the spread of KOKUYO stationery in Asia.

Needs for self-expression have been heightening in Thailand, starting with the spread of social media's popularity, and the value-added stationery market has been expanding. It had been possible for local customers to purchase a portion of our products through the KOKUYO global e-commerce store, which opened in September 2022. However, their opportunities to encounter KOKUYO stationery were limited. On this occasion, we will open Pop-up Shop at Mega Bangna, a popular shopping mall among young people, and roll out 363 products in total, including those from our "Pastel Cookie Sora" series, which is popular with students in China, and our "GOOD TOOLS" series, which is popular in Japan.

By enhancing our points of contact with customers, we will strive to fulfill the needs in work, learning, and daily life of our global customers.
