1. KOKUYO Group Sustainability Initiatives
(1) Environmental Initiatives
The KOKUYO Group recognizes global environmental issues such as climate change, resource depletion, biodiversity loss, and pollution as enduring challenges shared worldwide and works to address them through its business. Focusing on themes including climate change, resource circulation, and coexistence with nature, the KOKUYO Group advances environmentally responsible manufacturing.
SUTENAI CIRCLE, a set of resource circulation guidelines established in 2023, aims to realize a zero-waste society through collaboration with partner companies and customers, rather than through KOKUYO's efforts alone. In addition to developing products with their use, collection, and recycling in mind, KOKUYO undertakes initiatives such as collecting and reusing transport packaging materials. Specific initiatives include Tsunage Loopa, an experiential environmental learning program in which used notebooks are collected from elementary schools and recycled, and Kaunet Loopa and Kaunet Loopla, which recycle paper and plastic resources generated in offices. Through these activities, KOKUYO will connect resource circulation loops and contribute to a circular shift across society.
