WORKSIGHT is a media platform that explores themes that provide important guideposts for considering society’s future, taking as its point of departure KOKUYO’s vision for an ideal future—a “self-directed, collaborative society.” It is edited, planned, and operated by the WORKSIGHT editorial team, comprising YOKOKU Research Institute, KOKUYO’s research and design lab, and the content label blkswn publishers Inc. Going beyond the conventional model of a corporate-owned media platform, WORKSIGHT is developing a multidimensional media structure that integrates a system enabling readers to participate in the editorial process with diverse content, including newsletters, books, and events.
The multifaceted recognition represented by these awards reflects broad support for WORKSIGHT’s critical engagement with social questions and its open co-creation model that engages readers. By presenting an alternative vision of a self-directed, collaborative society to design communities and the public across Asia, WORKSIGHT is fulfilling a thought leadership role by building a foundation for sustained dialogue and co-creation.
