KOKUYO CO., LTD. (Head Office: Osaka, Japan; President: Hidekuni Kuroda) announces that its “Learning styles” brand, Campus, will update its logo and notebook cover designs for the first time in 15 years. The brand’s worldview will be completely renewed as Campus evolves into a global brand that addresses diverse approaches to learning and meets the needs revealed by a student survey conducted in five countries, including Japan, to support students in overcoming challenges together. In conjunction with this, notebooks featuring new ruled lines designed to reflect changes in learning environments, limited-edition kits, and other products will go on sale starting November 11, 2026.

1. The Learning Campus Should Support, as Revealed by the Survey

As digitalization and AI rapidly transform educational environments, Campus believes that active learning involving physical engagement remains an essential part of the learning process. Campus underwent a renewal in September 2025, which marked its 50th anniversary, to transcend the boundaries of a notebook brand and become a “Learning styles” brand that supports each individual’s unique approach to learning. Following this brand update, KOKUYO conducted a survey in five countries on “Attitudes Toward Studying and Stationery” (November 2025 to February 2026, KOKUYO survey*) to gain a deeper understanding of the various ways students approach learning. The results revealed that students’ approaches to learning and the roles they expect stationery to play vary widely, extending beyond traditional attributes such as grade level and gender, and that these diverse needs exist not only in Japan but on a global scale. Based on these findings, KOKUYO reaffirmed the importance of supporting the various attitudes toward learning held by students around the world and providing shared value that transcends national borders and cultural differences.

At the same time, students today face various worries and struggles beyond their studies, concerning both their daily lives and their futures. Against this backdrop, Campus has redefined learning as “the process of gaining insights from all of life’s experiences to broaden one’s horizons and open up new possibilities.” Driven by the desire to be a presence that supports the lifestyles of all students, transcending national borders and differences in “Learning styles,” Campus has now established a unified global visual identity (VI), including a new logo, to completely update its worldview. In doing so, Campus aims to be a brand that always accompanies students as their closest partner while they grow through their struggles.

4. New Product Highlights

As a partner dedicated to supporting each individual’s unique “Learning styles,” Campus has developed its new Campus Notebook (Blue Dotted Border) ruled notebook to respond to changes in the learning environments of junior high and high school students. In addition, limited-edition products will be launched to commemorate the updated logo, allowing students to experience the revitalized Campus worldview and adding a touch of color to students’ daily learning and lifestyles.

(1) As Free as a Blank Page, Yet Neatly Organized: The New Campus Notebook (Blue Dotted Border)

Campus has developed a new ruled notebook featuring fine, light blue borders to adapt to changes in today’s learning environments and support more self-directed learning. The light borders make the lines less distracting, offering the freedom of a blank page while providing just the right amount of guidance to naturally keep writing neatly organized. In addition to making it easy to adjust writing size, a margin line on the right side of the page allows for jotting down important points. This new standard notebook was developed to support the learning needs of today’s junior high and high school students, who require more efficient practice.

The Campus brand views learning as “the process of gaining insights from all of life’s experiences to broaden one’s horizons and open up new possibilities.” This goes beyond just academic study. Campus aims to expand the scope of the value it provides through stationery and other products. To symbolize this vision and commemorate the updated logo, a Campus Pouch with Mini Notebook will be available in limited quantities. The set includes a mini pouch that attaches to a school bag, a mini notebook featuring the new logo, a pinback button, and original stickers, some of which feature encouraging messages. It can be customized to carry small essentials such as earbuds or lip balm.
