I write a log of my activities on the left, while keeping record of my child's developments on the right. I also save precious memories in a fun way with photos and stamps! Awesome!

Using the Gantt chart layout, I can log my study time by subject. This also gives me an overview of my strengths and weaknesses, and how much time I’ve got before my tests.

I use my favorite washi tape to decorate the blank spaces for weekends where I don’t have plans and can just relax. It’s a simple thing, but it looks cute.

I’m face-to-face with my baby day after day. Every little thing is a treasure - what the baby ate and learned to do - so I write it down, little by little every day. When my child is older, I’ll have fun looking back on this record together!

I’m not good at drawing pretty pictures. My handwriting isn’t very pretty either, so I rely on washi tape, stickers, and stamps for cuteness! I also recommend the cute decorative papers available at craft stores. According to my mood at the time, I stick in paper cutouts to fill the spaces prettily.

When I have lots to write down, rather than writing everything in full, I try to keep to the main points, such as tasks that have high priority for me, the times of meetings I really must attend, things I need to bring to those meetings, and so on.

I use several notebooks. In the JIBUN_TECHO, for example, I write down my impressions of my new stationery purchases! When I try out the items I’ve gone to the trouble of buying, I love them, so I’m glad I created this page. I also start by writing about the fun I had meeting my friends, like a journal entry!

I find it helpful to note down the dates of my Instagram campaigns, so I don’t forget, and maybe write few to-dos! My notebook mops up the information overspill from my brain. It’s for my eyes only, so I try to be honest with myself and write everything down.

Now and then I write about things that occur to me that I want to try, or my own thoughts, as the mood takes me. I note down things I’d like to do someday, and I reflect on the habits I need to change, and the things I need to be more broad-minded about. And when somebody I know acts in a way that makes me go “Wow! I want to be like that too!” I try and note it down right away so I won’t forget.

I don’t mind if there are blank spaces in my notebook. Everybody uses their notebook in their own way. Personally, I write down my work, personal, and other appointments, and what actually happened, and jot down whatever occurred to me that day.
That means it’s rare for me to have a day with nothing to write, so there will always be some kind of note every day.
If I’ve left a few days blank, I say, “I’m so proud of myself for taking some time off!” and give myself a pat on the back!! If I think of a blank space as a rest day, then I can start logging the busy days that follow it.

I don’t set myself a rule that I have to write something every day. For me, a notebook is just an extended version of a note to myself. It’s not like someone is going to scold me if I don’t fill it in, or like I’ll have to show it to anyone. It’s more important that I complete the tasks that need to be done, on time, and have people see the results of my efforts.

・Method 1: Sticking in washi tape.
・Method 2: Sticking in ticket stubs and business cards from stores I’ve visited. This transforms it into a mini travel log!
・Method 3: Sticking in stickers. My latest favorites are cute transparent stickers. The time spent at the store choosing stickers for my notebooks is also a bit of fun in my busy day.
・In a separate notebook, I write down the good things and opportunities that happened that day! (The image shows how I use the “meaning note” system.)

・I use a different highlighter pen color for each schedule category.
・When I want an item to stand out more than highlighter, or I want to lift my mood, I write on a sticky note to make it pop more.
・When I’ve completed a task, I draw a circle in blue pen, or a thick strike-through line, to say to myself, “I did it! Congratulations! Awesome! Good job!”
・I use a pen that suits my mood at the time. I’m not the type that cares about color-coding and so on.

・Using date labels makes my notebook more colorful and motivates me to write entries!
・I recommend having plenty of pens on hand! I keep a lot of pens in my KOKUYO Third Field standing tool pouch and my Cark pen stand. I love choosing one of my favorite pens to write in my notebook!
・The time I spend updating my notebook is a small, special moment in my everyday life. As for the accompanying beverage, I like coffee. ♬♬ I love the taste of coffee, but the act of sipping it slowly in my favorite cup is even more important to me! Go with what makes you feel good, right?

I know I don't have to be able to draw perfectly from the beginning, but I try to save images I find on social media or in magazines so that I can learn from them and use them later as a reference for my own drawings.

When I am too busy to spend enough time on my planner, I try to do the least I can using just a part of the planner. I limit my efforts by describing the day in one line or just one word. Sometimes it's important to be gentle and honest with your own state.

I take a daily weight record every morning using a weekly planner. (I read in a book that it helps you keep track of your diet and control your weight). This way I could develop the habit of opening my planner every morning and checking my schedule for the day.
The key to being consistent is to do a little bit for a long time. I don't write when I'm not in the mood. When I look back at the blank spaces later, I would see how I was feeling back then. If I don't have the time to journal at night, I let myself do it the next day. The purpose is simply to keep a log of my own life. But after several blank days, I can't even remember what I ate. lol

I have been using Gantt charts for a long time. This year I rearranged the format in chronological order starting in the morning, which made the chart much easier to use. I write down my habit goals, what I accomplished, what I missed, and so on in chronological order. It's hard to check off all of them, but recently I've learned to set weekly goals to focus on each habit, one at a time. I add and delete items as needed...and keep on exploring different approaches!
(A habit can be something simple like, apply eye drops every morning and night)

For the blank spaces in my weekly planner, I download the date sheets and place them in the sleep time column. Seeing the blank spaces filled with cute images, it gets me going.
I try my best to write my Nine star Ki horoscope in the space on the left every week. When I have time, I put down my outfit for the next day in the work column. I use stamps to easily log the amount of time spent on my phone.

2020 - I used another Weekly planner. I didn't want the notes column on the right side to be blank, so I did my best to write down my daily routine but I stopped after a few months. After that, I managed to continue using just the Gantt chart.
2021 - I started using Jibun Techo Weekly planner. I was able to resume the efforts by not pushing myself too hard and logging things like my work hours and plans, weight in the morning, TO DO, a one-word gratitude log, and what I ate.
2022 - I started using Jibun Techo Biz Weekly. This year, I added some twists to the way I use my planner. For example, I decorated the sleep time column (which tends to be blank) with cute date sheets, made a simple log using clock stamps to show how long I used my smartphone, and recorded Nine Star Ki horoscope readings. I plan to start writing about my days in more detail when I can.

I scrap movie tickets, travel tickets, cafe cards, etc. on a separate binder instead of the Jibun Techo.
Using different colors to distinguish the columns makes it colorful and easier to read. I use blue (Kokuyo mark+) for my own work schedule, blue Frixion Pilot pen for my husband's work schedule so I can always edit, green for my gratitude log, pink for my husband's absence, and blue-black for other notes. I also use stamps and stickers for easy logging. The dot pens are useful for the Gantt chart.

Instead of forcing myself to write my 100 wishes all at once, I add a little by little when I remember. When I come across something interesting in travel or informational programs on TV, when I find places I want to go, food I want to try, or when I'm about to make a small wish come true. I write my sentences in past tense, and I put the date and ""done"" stamp on the ones I was able to accomplish. ""Did"" sounds more promising than ""want to"", doesn't it?
In the book list, I list the books borrowed from the library and note the date along with thoughts in the comment section. (I learned this idea from a fellow planner user). How I felt about the book is more important than what I read. When I want to read a book but haven't read it, I write ""not read"" to remind myself.
I use the multipurpose list to write a summary of impressive YouTube videos.

I kept a news log to keep abreast of the social situation. When I was overwhelmed by all the COVID-19 news, I intentionally looked for other topics to write about. Sometimes I wrote about my thoughts, sometimes I just recorded the facts. Since I see the news every day, there was never a day when I didn't have anything to write about, which made it easy for me to keep up with the habit.

When I have nothing to write about, I don't write at all. The fact that "nothing really happened" is a log in itself, and I just accept it. When I have a special event, I use as much space as I want to write about it. I think it's natural that we all have different events and amount of things to write about in life, and that's fine!

When I was a college student and my lifestyle was irregular, I used to log my sleeping hours with masking tapes. Each month I would use my favorite masking tape to record my sleep hours.
The longer I slept, the more masking tape I could place on the page. It was pretty fun and let me keep up the habit.

I wasn't so good at drawing at first, but after a few months, I began to create works that I was happy with. When I can't draw well, I refer to photos I took that day and draw as I see.
I use color pencils for coloring. The touch of color pencils makes food look delicious. I draw outlines whenever I can and add colors for those works later.

100 wishes list: I hadn't been able to write out all 100, but I actually got all of them filled in for the first time this year! Hopefully I can start fulfilling my wishes one at a time.
I have an idea to share for the execution column. I have learned from a fellow planner user to put ▼ when I start something, ■ when I complete it, and × when it failed along the way. I get to write ▼ just by starting something, so it motivates me to keep going.
